The island of Žirje is the most distant permanently inhabited island in the Šibenik archipelago and it is considered a part of Kornati islands.
It is a small Adriatic island (15.5 square kilometers in size) which only adds to its beauty and charm.
It is an excellent place for a relaxing vacation at any time of the year.
The island is full of beautiful historic ruins, charming nature and lovely beaches. This is the right place where you can, far from the city crowd, feel the ambience of peaceful and traditional island life.
Besides the fishing wealth of Žirje aquatorium, interior of the island is a rich hunting area (hares, pheasants, etc.) what makes Žirje an interesting destination for hunting tourism!

Along the entire island there are bike courses which give you an opportunity to reach most of the hidden beaches.

During the year, Žirje is well connected by boat lines with the rest of the continent (twice a day!) and also by ferry (twice a month out of season and during the summer season once a week) from Šibenik port.
