Kornić is a small quiet village situated in the Bay of Punat on the island of Krk.
It is located about 6 km away from the town of Krk and 3 km from Punat.
There are probably less than five hundred inhabitants in it. That number swells somewhat in the summer.
There are great views over the Bay of Punat, a tiny island of Košljun with Franciscan monastery and town of Punat across the bay.
Below Kornić very close to the sea is a small church of St. Dunat built in the 13th century. At first one would think that the church was build in haphazard way but the studies have revealed the purposefulness of design - the church is a large solar calendar.

Kornić
